Remembering Rayleen

FROM THE PAST: On Sunday July 19, 2009 Family and Friends gathered at Breakheart Reservation to remember our dear friend Rayleen Lescay. Friends shared memories as volunteers from the Christopher P. Dunne Foundation served guests to an old fashioned Barbeque. A dedication ceremony included a reading of a poem and an unveiling of a black granite park bench which was dedicated in Rayleen's memory. people wore red, Rayleen's favorite color, and red baloons were released when the bench was dedicated. friends and Family then gathered around a fire pit, wrote words on paper. Some read thier messages aloud and threw their paper into the fire pit, while others folded their personal messages to Rayleen and tossed them into the fire pit. Please watch the movie that captured the event.
